Beauty of Ashes is Joyce Meyer’s way of sharing her own story about healing. If you don’t know, Joyce Meyer herself actually has her own share of bad and terrible experiences that women have in their lives. And these experiences have led her to a place where she never thought healing would even be possible again. Having been physically, sexually, and verbally abused for more than 30 years of her life, it was a great step when Meyer found that it was not as impossible as she thought to stand up once more with the help of God.
The Fall by Simon Mawer: Simon Mawer has given us a good novel, just not a great one. It can be electrifying and dizzying at one point and then detached and mired in its characters’ own lack of inertia the next. A more even novel would have been received better, but The Fall is still an enjoyable read that will leave you guessing the truth until the very end.
Many people do not believe they have the ability to read faster because if they had, they already would be reading faster. And, they’ve gotten so many years of proof (like taking their current age and subtracting 4 to 6 years) and that read in the same way — yes for years!

This book review is a little different from my other ones because this particular article is about one of my favorite romance authors. So I will be covering many books of the romance genre, all by Iris Johansen.
All of us may be familiar about the supposed end of the world. The Mayans, Egyptians, Nostradamus, the Book of Revelation, and even other world religions have all predicted that doomsday will eventually occur. Even the Bible points to a war of good and evil preceding the end of days. Christ’s followers will do battle with the legions of Satan. Whoever wins will seize the earth and all of its inhabitants.

This book review is for The Season of Passage, written by Christopher Pike. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It had a great twist on an old and well known subject. The story is supposed to take place in the future. (It was written a while ago – in 1992 – and the “future” is now our past: 2006)
